I think that moreso than a particular shoe, I think their lasts are iconic - specifically the 71 and 73.

For a go to shoe? I can't live without my Westminsters.

:fonz:

Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!

Is that true, Stitch? :eh:

excuse my delayed reply, i havent checked this thread in a while, but sadly yes :embar:

my work calls for a more "casual" attire. i only get to wear my nicer shoes and suits on occasion. so while im not exactly building an empire of shoes for daily wear i do want to have a pair of absolute kick ass shoes when i bust out the MC. right know i have my pre-SF ferragamo loafers and a pair of C&J edgwares all in black. the time for a pair of vintage oak G&Gs is fast approaching for me. you have any recs, though im pretty much sold on the westminster right now. still deciding on if i want the MH71 or TG73.

MH71 i think is the best option for the Westminsters in VO - bit more forgiving than the TG73

First pair of G&G, Walkton in vintage pine on the DG70:

From Bespoke England. Couldn't be happier with Nick's help and service, I already have my eye on a second pair from him.

these look fantastic. Definitely keepers. More I see the 70 more I like it: v. similar to Vass F from above, tho in profile the toe box looks lower

Do they fit TTS? and u know does Bespoke England offer a toe tap option? shame to see them wear

Yep, plenty of styles close to mine but with captoe, St James I and II, Hughes, Harrow, Kensington etc

They do fit true to size. I was a bit worried having read stuff here about them being a little tight but I am a 10.5E in Lobb, AS, C&J and EG and these (10.5E as well) fit great. A little more snug than my others in the body of the shoe but not tight or uncomfortable anywhere and no pinching at all in the toe box, I can move all my toes up and down. I think when they soften up with wear a bit they could well be my best fitting shoes

what i like is not so much the last shape, thro on some of them it is as they are my shoes, but the overall look or the design, also something/ shoe for every occasion that i might find my next pairs are very simple

actually, the shilouette is one of the reasons english shoes don't do it for me, anyway.

So yeah, squeaky G&G heels... Anybody have this issue? What can I do about it? It feels like it is the insoles. Do they just need breaking in?
