Second this - I am usually 11 or 11.5 UK in G&Gs, but on suede loafers, I was able to go down to 10.5 UK. The fit was snug, definitely, but it broke in nicely - no complaints.

How can you size down almost one size? I mean you can handle the width I suppose as it will stretch but one size smaller also means that the shoes will be shorter, no?! So in my head if you fit into loafers size 10,5, then Boots in 11,5 are clearly too long and will have heel slippage.

The reason I am asking is because I actually have a hard time finding a proper fit because the model is either too loose in the heel or too short in the front if sized down. Across almost all brands and lasts

Well the 10.5 was rather close fitting. I don't have a noticeable heel slippage with 11.5 though - but I wouldn't go 11.5 with loafers - only oxfords, with laces to hold the foot in obviously. The 10.5s were from Mr. Porter, this past summer & you can look back, there were many complains about the G&Gs for Mr. P fitting a little larger than normal - probably that, combined with them being suede made it work.

Aren't they great!

How do you rate them, Sir?

So far, they are handsome, and finely constructed. This particular last may not be the most natural fit for my feet, (the downside of buying them at 60% off their retail price) but they are breaking in nicely, I believe - the rest of the day will tell.

I think I was lucky, TG73 seems to be a very natural fit for my narrow ankled, wide toed foot lol

So for those of you with kudu G&Gs, how do you condition them? Mine are about due. Thinking about just using some venetian shoe cream.
