Fred Perry Track Jacket size advice

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a Fred Perry Track Jacket. I am 5'10 very athletic 165 lbs. Can someone describe the general fit of these jackets?

Something tells me a size large will be too baggy in the waist area. I afraid the medium will be too tight at the shoulders. I hate buying clothes on the internet only to find the fit is horrible. I just bought the new Ben Sherman Hierarchy hoodie size large and it fits great. But as you know the fit varies greatly from brand to brand.

Do the track jackets tend to be smaller than the stated size or larger, looser?

Thanks!

sounds like a med would be just right on you

I have ones ranging in S thru Med and S fits me the best. I'm the same height but weigh about 155. I think L would be too roomy for you

For reference, right now I'm wearing a size L which is comfortable. 6'5 at approx. 220 lbs, athletic frame with some ... padding. IMO FP track jackets run rather large, so at your size I'd go with the M, don't worry about width.
