Hello. Where in the UK can I get a black pair of formal trousers with no pleats, and no crease down the middle? I've searched through shops, but have had no luck. Is it possible to iron the crease out of formal trousers?

Sure. Steam them first, that will get most of the crease out. Then touch up with an iron. Or take it to a pro and explain what you want. (Ironing wool is tricky because of potential scorching.)

Not that I in any way endorse the notion of creaseless formal trousers ...

It's better to take them to a tailor (some pros, like dry cleaners, cannot be trusted). Or do what Manton says, but use a press cloth with the iron and pres on the inside face.

Black creaseless, pleatless trousers should be avaiable from a lot of designer and designer-ripoff shops.
