The most beautiful women I saw in Europe were in the Netherlands. Parisian women were gorgeous, but no more than you would expect from a large megalopolis like that.

The other day my son brought home a French-English dictionary and announced his intention to learn French. I told him he'd better find a soap he didn't mind tasting.

I wear short shorts, thongs or elastic-sided ankle work-boots and safari-type shirts, drink a lot of beer and eat lots of steak, say 'crickey' a lot, carry a big knife, drive a black muscle car, am a lovable idiot and love a good fight.

it's going to get dilutted each generation, it's difference between ethinicity and identity. Though in English you can't really make the distinction between Chinese as race/ethinicity or just cultural identity easily in one word where as there are subtle difference when you said it in Chinese.

I don't think people in Taiwan would disagree with you they're culturally chinese, whether they like it or not. Though most will tend to correct you when you call them Chinese in English because it is identified as someone coming from mainland China. This is not necessarily anti-China, it's just you want people to know you're from Taiwan not from China.

Of course you can always go to a lenghy explanation of how things come and go about, whether you came after 1949 or 300 years, or simply aboriginal blah blah, but to say things in one word Taiwanese is a lot simplier than "yeah I am Chinese, but blah blah blah"

It's a bit like American of XYZ origin will not call themselves anything other than American by 2nd generation, anything else is cultural heritage, not national identity. Of course the situation in Taiwan is different both culturally and historically, but there are some simliarities to draw there.

It's more like saying I'm Texan, not American. One time my buddy was hitting on some chick and she was like, tell your doctor friend to teach you some manners. I was like, "Joke's on you B, I'm a software engineer."

I've been on tour in Russia a couple times and played 3 or 4 different cities. Over the course of those few weeks, I was able to confirm 3 of the 4 classic Russian stereotypes.

While we didn't see any dancing bears in the streets, the promotions crew drank constantly (partial credit as it could be due to the fact they were in the entertainment industry), Russians love those big fur hats, and the girls there all look like supermodels (which is generally true for most of eastern Europe as well).

-Country full of 90's pornstar women
-**** military + tech(partially true)
-crazy religious zealots

Also I don't remember how to say it but basically that Hungarians also rip off Spanish and English culture
