Wouldn't that be 100 times harder in a shoe without a channeled sole, making it very likely that the shoe might be sacrificed?

You mention Park Ave sizing. Can I assume you have a Park Ave? If so, what color? If you have a Park Ave in a brown shade, get the Drummond. If you either do not have the Park Ave or it is in black, get the Hallam. As you said this is your second such shoe, I assume you need the most versatility so that fuels my advice.

Go back and get the brogued wingtip when you have some depth to your shoe collection. I greatly prefer the brogue, but you need a more versatile shoe IMO when starting out.

I really don't think you need to worry about your shoes matching your skin. Seriously. Your feet are pretty far away from you face.

but the clothes I wear need to match the shoes. Since the colors that go with the shoe don't complement my skin, then obviously the color of the shoe matters.

Re: sizing, 1 full size down from your AE will be a good to snug fit. I'm an AE 11.5 (which is a bit loose), and the 348 in 10.5 is perfect, definitaly a bit more snug, but just right. Hope that helps. In other words, if your AE size is already tight, you might want to go down 1/2 size on the 348, whereas if your AE size is a bit loose, go down 1 full size on the 348. Let us know what you decide to order.
