ok so I found out in my other thread that AE's ARE in fact available in Australia (Peter Sheppard, Sydney) ... but the price is $359AU for the Westfields! Are they worth THAT much??? I'm not an online shopper, so that's out of the question - so what do you guys reckon?? For that price is there anything else I could look at in Syd (with same, if not better quality)?

and another question for Australian members - what do you guys think of Farage shirts? quality/style etc.? Looking at their website I wouldn't mind a few of their cocktail shirts ... and the sizing on the site says they range from XS and up - so very good for me!

$395AU is roughly $310US which is basically the fully retail price in the US. From a construction/quality perspective I believe they are worth the asking price. Having said that, I no longer purchase A-E's as I find the newer lasts uncomfortable and I'm not really a fan of the clunky 360 welting. I'm much more likely to purchase Lobb, EG, C&J or Tramezza's with the occassional Santoni, all of which are usually more expensive than A-E, some significantly so. If you like the styling and the shoe, they are a very good choice.

E, imo, is the best at that price point, although i AM an online shopper, which brings the price point of AE's to around 200.

Anyone NOTINAMERICA should be buying from US sites or ebay right now. With the horrendously weak dollar its like getting 30% off everything, all the time...
