long story short i had to move out of my parents house.

i'm 19, moving on campus at UNI in august. in the mean time i am bouncing around between friends houses, mostly keeping all of my **** in my car. here's what i have:

macbook
iphone
toothbrush
toothpaste
shampoo
soap
clothes
pillow
blanket

i may have to sleep in my car every now and then. not sure yet. i don't want to be a burden on my friends.

any items i should consider picking up out there to make this temporarily homeless situation a bit more bearable?

A reliable address where you can receive mail. Helps for car insurance, vehicle registration, driver's license, etc.

No worries, you'll be living with Mom and Dad again soon enough.

Find a camp ground, get (buy or borrow) a tent and a sleeping bag.

Could also try the following, but it's usually for travelers rather then the homeless:
http://www.couchsurfing.org/

Other things you could use:
Towel
Laundry Soap
Quarters (for laundry)

This experience will prepare you for the long hours of sleeping on park benches that await you after law school.

If you're going to live the hobo homeless life for a while, you should buy some personal lubricant.
