I'm a bit partial to the Army Green Suede model myself. Now with a few extra Orange Chicken stains on them thanks to last weeks debacle....

Soak the shoes and brush them with shampoo or if the stains contain a lot of fat with dishwashing liquid (the one you use for handwashing your dishes). The stain should come out after that.

Use a suede eraser. If that doesn't work, go to a cobbler and have them shampoo it if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. Because not to be mean, but the stains look awful, and really destroy the shoe's look.

Hello ? I sent in a pair of EG shoes for factory repair almost a year ago (Nov 2020), I got a quote back for the cost and gave the go ahead, then the Covid lockdown happened in December and I have not heard anymore since. I assume they must have a backlog of work due to the pandemic shutdown for months, so I am happy to wait patiently… but it is now nearly a year on… so would it be rude to inquire and chase up on it? ?

After a year? :) No, that is not rude at all. That is an absurdly long time to leave you hanging with no follow-up.

I just searched my email inbox… the repair quote was sent - I replied that was acceptable and gave the go ahead on Nov 24, and EG factory confirmed Nov 26.

I think I will wait another month - then it will be one year exactly - before I politely chase up about it.
