Just took delivery of chestnut Utah rivers, this being my first experience with the leather. It appears very soft and this pair being unlined kind of makes me nervous has anyone had issues with the leather tearing?

No tearing on my Galways but I'm pretty confident the Utah leather does stretch somewhat easy and moreso than regular calf from my experience.

Thank you . They are dark oak. I used Bick 4, Medaille D'or 1925 Pate De Luxe Neutral and a couple coats of Medaille D'or mirror gloss on the toe caps.

Speaking of closets. My poor wife’s shoes have be relinquished to the bottom left shelf of our closet. Thankfully she is very supportive of my shoe addiction I mean collection. The cedar in our closet adds a nice touch.
