i was just at the ferragamo shoe museum (ferragamo actually did some amazing inventive stuff with women's shoes over his career and won some 360 patents) and asked them who was their current shoe designer and they rattled off some name that i don't recall but added that there is a team of designers working with that person
so just like every other larger design house, there's usually more than one person
