Do you support your local friendly boutiques? Are the smaller businesses getting any love?
If so, please mention the boutique name(s), what you bought, commentary on purchases, and location(s).
Hopefully this will evolve into a useful international quick reference guide for those travelling.
Please discuss.

I'll start. Am in Portland, Oregon. Winn Perry is a tiny little store, carrys Alden's, some nice sweaters - just bought a beautiful wool scarf there. http://winnperry.com/ John Helmer - old Portland instituion for clothing. Big emphasis on hats of all kinds. Also more conservative tweed clothing & some ties. http://www.johnhelmer.com/ Collier Clothing - Located in Galleria building downtown. Italian style and influenced clothes. Brent Collier is good to work with. Blake - Portland's best place for jeans. Engineered Garments, etc. More for S&D crowd, but hey, us MC guys need jeans too. 26 NW 23rd Place EZ

Two great friends of mine got bored of the rat run and very recently set up their boutique British Made shop:

http://www.applebyparva.com

They are based in London but are very much geared towards the international shopper - as soon as you put your delivery address in to the system V.A.T is deducted and delivery is automatically updated - a nice touch to make things easier for the shopper.

So far I have only bought the silver plated elephant cufflinks which are great, and came very well packaged.

My Christmas shopping will be very easy this year...

enjoy.

I live in Oklahoma City and I am a frequent customer of Teena Hicks Company in downtown OKC
http://www.teenahickscompany.com/

They carry suits, shoes, shirts, slacks, sweaters, ties, scarves, accessories, outerwear, etc. They carry Allen Edmonds, Alden, Martin Dingman, Lucchese, and Cole Haan and a few others in footwear and Belvest, Jack Victor, Austin Reed, Coppley and several others in suits/sportcoats. They carry several brands of shirts, socks, ties, etc. also.

They also do MTM shirts and suits.

I purchase most of my clothing and shoes at this store. The service is second to none and they are great with suggestions and ideas on what looks best on you.

If you are in Oklahoma City, stop by and check them out. Great people and a great store.

Drinkwater's in Cambridge, Mass. I learned about Gary and his boutique (menswear only, "Thoughtfully selected, accessible fashion with a focus on the revival of American style" as Gary states on his website) here on The Forvm. Selections include Southwick suits and coats, Hertling pants, EG and Post O'Alls casual wear, and Paraboot shoes.

I've bought all of the above, plus ties and Marcoliani socks, Bill's khakis, as well as had him do custom shirts for me. Much of his clothing is made in the U.S.A.

Gary's merchandise selection is really well thought out, and his personal service is top top notch. It's a pleasure to give him my business, which is hard to say about a lot of stores these days. I've been a customer for over a year now and there are few days that I'm not wearing SOMETHING I purchased from Drinkwaters.
