Assuming you've already soaked these they'll definitely stretch to fit you comfortably, and they look great. Some big upturns or cuffs would make them perfect, of course.

It was more that your crack den reminded me of other people posting; not speaking to your post per se.

How did you size these and how should 47's be sized?

I am about to pull the trigger on a pair from cultizm (unless someone can recommend me a faster/cheaper place) and I want to figure out how I should size them. I'm a 31 true waist and 30 inseam in most pants. What size will get me close to these dimensions after shrinking/stretching?

The general advice is to size up one (or two, depending on preference) because they're smaller than tagged and they shrink. I wear a 30 in everything else and I got a 29, and they're tight. Like, when I take them off, I have selvedge imprints in my legs. Next pair I get I'm going to go for a 30 which should be perfect for the fit I want while not being so tight that I can't wear them if I'm 10 pounds heavy.

+1. That's like sizing down 5 on Rescues to achieve a NS fit everywhere but from knee down.

If the OP wants a slim fit, LVC 1967 505xx is the best bet:

in a week or 2 they will stretch out 1-2 inches in the waist and slouch down a bit. Come back with pictures then. I bet they will look fantastic.

That don't even look like a 1947 cut anymore. The classic silhouette is gone when worn that way.

Wait, you actually sized down? I didn't know that was even possible. I'm a 30 waist too and I got LVC '47s in 30, and they've stretched about as much as they will and stiff fit snugly. Can't imagine going down to a 29. To the OP: I think they look good. Don't look like 501s, but as long as they're comfortable and you're happy with them, that's all that matters. **** a "classic silhouette."

Don't listen to the haters, I bet any amount of money the majority of them have worse fitting jeans, those look fantastic, don't you dare taper them, it will ruin that surprisingly awesome bootcut/flare and make them look like skinny jeans #187. It'd be great if you would post some nice outfits in WAYWT that do these jeans justice
