It is a college dormitory...posters are fun and I have no idea why you think someone would put up a poster of something they were not interested in.

In the late 90's I had this classic poster
justification-for-higher-education-poster.jpg
And one like this which I fake signed "To HomerJ, XOXOXO Sonny" We also learned that you could make bottle caps stick to the wall and made a map of the US. Good times..

On my walls I have some posters of concerts I went to, a few signed and framed LPs and CDs, couple of posters from art galleries, couple of movie posters.

I would stay away from this kid. Would probably also wonder if he might snap and shoot up a school.
