Church's. Darkening tan.

These shoes were on special for an absolute steal in a sale. Couldn't help myself. Church's 128AUD.
As you can see though, they are a slightly different colour.
So my question is what is the best way to organise a colour match to get them close.
My initial idea is coconut oil to start with and then Dubbin.
I know the gentlemen of this forum are very well versed in a shoe care regime and would welcome some feedback.

To me any color difference for that pair of shoes is not noticeable. Oil is not recommended for fine leather footwear. I you want to do something apply tan colored shoe cream.

I might try a shoe cream that's a match for the slightly darker shoe, I suspect that would result in both shoes looking the same.

Would a shoe cream applied to the dark one make it darker still rather than lighter?

I think I see what you are saying, get a colour that matches the dark shoe' and apply it to the lighter shoe? That could well work because then it will not darken the darker one.

I beg to differ. I believe it will result in an uneven finish with the darker shoe still being darker than the lighter one. I hope OP chimes in with his results. I’m curious to find out how they turned out.

I still have not done anything with them as I am gathering opinions and information. I figure when I do something I only get one shot at it.
My feeling right now is a light coat of Dubbin on the lighter one... Then an even coat of the same tan polish on both
