Check Out this Double Stripe on this Tuxedo. Too Weird?

Without giving away the designer, I would like to get some opinions on this tux which I am considering buying. I am particularly concerned about the double stripe and single cuffs.

I know it is difficult without seeing the fit, but would still like your thoughts.

you'll get more people responding if you imbed the pics (click on the button between the film strip and the paper clip above where you type in your post)

The uncuffed pant is fine, and proper. The double stripe and the malnourished lapels will make this tux feel dated quickly IMO.

Ah I didn't think when you said single cuff you meant single button, and I assume you don't mean gauntlet jacket cuffs. I'm not crazy about the single button, but it isn't a make or break detail. And if you don't like them more buttons could be added easily since it doesn't appear to be a working button.

I haven't noticed them, but I would just view it as a random, slightly different detail that doesn't detract, a la a peak or shawl lapel. Hardly anyone will notice, and I don't think those who do will think any less of you. And I like the one button cuff. I would wear that without hesitation- it's a little different, but in a subtle way that doesn't distract. Certainly a hell of a lot better than the black lounge suits with shiny lapels most will be wearing these days.

I think double stripe is technically correct for white tie, but in this case it doesn't look bad. Lapel width isn't that bad either. They are narrow, but not skinny and I don't think it will look bad down the road.

The single cuff button, 1 button closure, peak lapels, jetted pockets, etc. all make this a jacket with very classic details. All it lacks is a proper vest. Regardless, Its more impressive to me than what I see from quite a few other popular makers and the horrors I've seen in person. I would be interested to know the maker and the cost.

I can't put it any better than that.
