So I neutral mirror shined the toe caps, neutral pate d luxe and neutral creme 1925 these beautiful coimbra/guimares derbies. Toe cap wax cracked so wanted to take it off to reapply a nice finish, renomat and renovateur later and Bobs your uncle two shoes that look nothing alike lol. So thinking not doing the right one and doing something to the left one but its buggered now. Any ideas on salvaging them, also would love to know how to remove old wax from patina shoes painted on crust leather as clearly renomat and i suspect renovateur is too harsh. Is it best to just use creme 1925 and not try to bring them up to a high shine ever. Feel free to laugh at my misfortune but would love to know how I can avoid doing it again. Bit gutted as I loved that finish but we live and learn, Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm sorry this happened to you. You are not supposed to use Renomat or Renovateur on patina shoes. Only thing you want to use is very little neutral polish.

You may have to contact Carlos Santos about this.

This indeed.

I only use Bick 4 on them. Works like a charm and even gives it a bit of a shine after brushing

Bal boots from 2018 finally getting out for holiday outfits. It had been so long since I'd worn them that the dust layer actually made me sneeze when removing it, but they brushed up really well. :D

316. These were from Skoak back when they carried the brand and were a perfect alternative to the Carmina versions that I knew I'd rarely wear. I honestly wish that I had more opportunities to wear them besides holidays and somber occasions.

Don't you keep them in their travel bags? That is what I do, always in their bags and box after brushing them, so they are ready for next use.

I don't. I prefer everything out where I can see it when I go up to choose shoes for the day.

I also don't mind brushing stuff up as a part of the daily routine. Actually, I really enjoy it.

I'm looking for Carlos Santos 9156 boots in dark brown grain (both upper and lower). Can't seem to find it anywhere. Suggestions?

Are you looking for something like this?

Thank you sir, appreciate it. It doesn't say which last it's built on, though. Or am I missing something? The retailer is new to me.

The retailer is new to me as well. I've bought my last two Carlos Santos from Kostas at The Noble Shoe. He doesn't carry the Jodhpur handgrade boot I was looking at and this company does. It just so happens they had that boot as well so I figured I would share it with you. You can reach out to Dennis and see if he can help with which last it is. [email protected]

Same here. Kostas didn't carry the boot in full grain. I'll reach out to Dennis.

It's on last 445, I emailed the store about it a few weeks ago. I also found it odd that no last info is provided on a webshop dedicated to selling boots and shoes.

@Afinepairofshoes also had a gorgeous dark brown grain CS field boot in stock on last 316 for almost half the price of the pair at meet the hand. You might want to contact them too.

Thanks for the info, sir. Appreciate it. I'll get in touch with AFPOS as well.
