Just got married in Cape Cod on a boat to Martha's Vineyard. It was fabulous! :) (And lost my wedding ring exactly one week later - in Cape Cod - while surfing...) Anyway, as many others have mentioned here, I'd recommend Chatham or P-town. Depending on how long you're planning on staying, you could rent a place (there are some great ocean-side villas at very good prices) or just stay at an inn. Saturdays are typically changeover days, so more options will be available then. Unfortunately, this also means that traffic on Saturdays tends to be pretty darn horrible, especially in summer/fall. And of course, if you're looking for a great resort, I've heard good things about Wequassett - it's a great resort, right next to the Cape Cod National Golf Club, albeit a little pricey. I've also heard good things about Sea Crest Resort. This is usually a good time of the year to be surfing (body/wind/etc), so if you're into that sort of thing, Sea Crest or Nauset Light Beach have some of best surfs this time of the year. And of course, while you're there, there's a ton of cool stuff to do -- watching whales/seals, para gliding, kayaking, checking out the light houses etc. Either way, the Cape is a lot of fun. Good food, friendly people, and great beaches! What more can you ask for?
