Yes, the design in the toe of the shoes gives it more of a casual look that you should eaisly be able to pull off for work.

edited first post to show that i wear J crew chinos - not 'khakis'. I think some people got the impression that i wear pressed khakis

I'm new to all of this, but I think they work. Especially since summer is upon us, and they remind me of boat shoes (Sperry etc.).
