C&J dilemma - which handgrade? (photos inside)

+1 Belgrave.

I have 2 pairs of the C&J for Polo analogue, the Benton, in black and burnished tan. It's a good looking shoe. I really like the single line of broguing on this model.

I had the same dilemma. My Audley's are on order. I thought the dark brown and simplicity of the Audley made it a moe versatile choice. I'll get the Belgraves someday too.

+1 - the Belgrave is one of the nicest black business shoes I've seen.

I have both. In black and dark brown/chestnut.
My personal preference:
1) Belgrave black (great business shoes !)
2) Audley black
3) Belgrave chestnut
4) Audley dark brown

If You think to use them for navy suits, I suggest to you Belgrave in chestnut. More interesting colour than dark brown. But dark brown is more sober. In any case You can't wrong.

What shoe size are we talking about? The 337 last looks very long in large sizes, and the toecaps on the Audley and Belgrave are also relatively large. If you wear a large shoe size, the line of brogueing on the Belgraves will help make the toecap look a little smaller.

Otherwise, I'd go with whichever colour appeals to you more. Personally I'd want to get the Belgraves in dark brown, if this combination was available; closest thing is the Albany.

I also love the Balmuir II.

I vote Belgrave in black (I have the PRL equivalent Benton and it's niiiiice) and either the Hallam (benchgrade on the 348) or the Audley on the 337 in whatever shade of brown.

I recently acquired a pair of the Audleys in dark brown. I chose them over the Belgrave for two reasons: (1) I've found myself recently gravitating toward richer brown shoes (particularly for business dress) and (2) A brown captoe was one of the holes in my shoe collection and I felt my first should be as plain as possible.
