For sale are two Buzz Rickson loopwheel sweatshirts, size Large, in colors Oatmeal and Olive. These are some of the best sweatshirts one can find out there. Japanese size Large, fits like a US Medium. $175 each

Both are brand new with tags.

Crafted on vintage looms with original details, including no side seams, this is the most authentic sweatshirt possible to find.

  • 100% heavy 13 oz. cotton
  • Constructed on 4-needle loop-wheel looms from the 1920s*
  • Superior tube body construction, no side seams (very rare)
  • Sturdy lock stitching throughout
  • Set-in sleeves with beefy 4-inch cuffs and waistband
  • Flattering fit without bulk
  • Antithesis of today’s cheap, mass-produced, body-hiding sweats
  • Made in Japan

* Four-needle loop-wheel looms are able to weave a perfect tube but they can only weave one set diameter per loom. This means the factory needs a different loom for each size, which is very time consuming and expensive and that’s why it’s never seen today. A tube body construction means no side seams, a better fit and a sweatshirt that retains its shape. This process requires more time, more attention to detail and more expense, but the result is a superior quality garment.

Size & Fit

These are not typical sweatshirts (baggy, loose and bulky). They fit more like tailored garments. Runs small, order one size up.
