Made this week for a proof of concept.

Fully lined, full-bridle briefcase. Mysore accents. Full width pocket, pen pockets, card pocket and a small gusseted pocket on the interior. Wanting to make this available at a very reasonable price point. Trying for well under $1k.

Wanting to push the needle with what we can do at this price point. What do you think?

A recent acquisition ...

Toscanella in Navy. I had a chance to visit the factory and liked the style; they were kind enough to make one in my requested color. I was looking for a lightweight and simple case to keep a few things together during conferences and meetings, and this should do nicely.

Outstanding work. Reminds me of a vintage Pendragon briefcase I have. Is that bark effect leather.

Thank you. It’s been a very interesting one, the next one will be better again

The leather is the Cuir de Russie leather we use. It’s a contemporary calf reproduction of the Metta Catherina leather, or more accurately the Russian leather of which the Metta Catherina loaf was a very small part, by far the best of the leathers that aim to reproduce the original Ive come across.

Will you be making watch bands and other things from the Russia calf, or is it too rare for anything but one-offs?

Also, by way of a quick comparison, do you know if it is the same stuff being used by Crockett & Jones?

Is the workmanship of Swaine Adeney Brigg Briefcases still unparalleled?

Their Paternoster briefcase is so handsome, however the price is outrageous .. Must be that a lot of the price is going on a brand name it self, however, I am yet to find anything close ..

I commissioned this a month or so ago, and received it a week ago. Certainly similar to the Paternoster in design, but highly customized to my own personal specifications. While I have not seen a new Paternoster in person, I greatly prefer the look of the bridle leather on my own bag. It has a lot of depth, while the Paternoster's leather, in photos at least, looks almost painted orange.

Price was a fraction of the Paternoster's. PM me if you'd like details.

Yup, wallets already in production and I’m wearing the first watch strap we’ve made using it. Really nice aging characteristics

Can’t be totally sure if it’s the same leather as C&J but I assume it is.
