I am interested in picking up a nice pair of something in Utah leather. I noticed some posts on here of pairs from Sons of Henry and Edward Green and such.

I’m curious about the behaviour of the leather from a user standpoint. EG has a description on their website but a first hand account would be helpful. I tend to use my footwear in all manner of weather so getting wet is guaranteed. My care routine is usually only wipe down with a cloth and the occasional application of Saphir.

I’m curious to know how the leather ages in terms of look and colour from original.

dies albo signando lapillo ...
First Munky's live pic !!!

My second, Luigi! The first was some pages back. I am adapting to my first ever smartphone now and can turn it on, take a photo and turn it off. :bigstar: Much more excitement to follow and many more pics to be posted.

I have been approached by Vogue magazine to accept the post of Men's Shoe Correspondent but need more time to think about this. I'm not just working for anyone who expresses an interest in my artistry.

I have a pair of Galways in the 'delapre' leather which is the smooth version of Utah. It's got a very soft and supple hand over and above that of normal chrome tanned calf. It's a hot stuffed veg retan so it also has a pungent aroma. It does pretty well in the wet. Can't comment on how it ages because my rotation is quite large now but it seems to be pretty resistant to scuffs owing to the waxes and oils. Creasing is very fine (but this will depend on the clicking by the maker).
