  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Having not worn much shell lately, I may have gone a little overboard last week. Time to clean them up.

Wolverine 1000 Mile... ******!!!

More like 100 miles.

It's a shame - they were quite comfortable once they broke in.

But I really don't like the Horween Leather - they say it looks better with age? Quite the opposite - it scratches so easily and in an unpleasing way - these are not boots you polish, you rub leather cream into them which doesn't really do much to get rid of all the ugly scratches.

Next time I'll buy boots with leather that takes boot polish and isn't so prone to scratching - and as for the sole? No excuses. I do not abuse these at all...

It is certainly possible to get a shine on CXL, you have to work at it though. I use Renovateur and then a horsehair brush followed by a really hard going over with a microfibre mitt that is made to polish cars. 'They come up lovely, they do' as we say in these parts.

I was cleaning my shoe storage to move out some winter boots and move in some loafers, and then realized I probably have more boots than I should… or not?

TBH I am definitely not wearing some of them as much as I should.

Great collection. I've always been a big fan of Joe Works u-tip shell boot, however the JL single monk boot is special. Is that a pie crust apron? What's the name of the model, would love to see close ups when you have a chance.

Wonderful set of boots😍. Think of it as a collection that allows you to select whichever boot is appropriate for the day. As with all collections , some items will always be used/viewed more than others but that doesn’t mean the lesser worn boots don’t have a place.
That’s how I justify having way more boots and shoes than I need anyway😂
