My Heavy Horse Tricker's live up to their name. This Horween horse leather is tougher than anything I have seen before. Is there any way I can soften these up, without resorting to something too dramatic? Beautiful boots, though.

Pretty sure WW1 soldiers pissed on their boots to soften them up. This is my advice, although technology may have developed since then.

I wasn't a big fan of most of the last batch of Bureau Tricker's but you got a good un there.

Happy Friday eve, friends.

These are Alden Indy 403s that Martin Sugg rebuilt with double leather midsoles and then an aggressive SViG outsole. They are heavy but I enjoy stomping around in them.

Mad Dog Laces in 3mm are perfect.

Indianna Jones wore them for his many adventures so I'm trying to mimick him.

My dear friend Jim Pietryka helped me size to 8eee. I think of him everytime I lace these up.

I pissed on them but now they are just sloppy looking and shapeless . I am tempted to ring Tricker's and ask their view on this method. They will probably be thrilled to get my call and all go home happy bunnies.
