Blazer 98% wool 2% cashmere? OK for year-round?

Im looking to purchase a year-round battle blazer. I found a what seems to be suitable RLPL number, however my only reservation is that it is 98%wool and 2% cashmere. I have been told by the online seller that it is light/mid weight, but that seems like a subjective characterization.

So, are jackets normally made with a similar composition too hot for summer compared to a similar basic blazer made of all wool? Im not really worried about being too cold in the summer.

% of wool means little regarding how warm it wears. That is dependent on the weight and breathability of the cloth. A 7oz 98/2 open-weave hopsack will wear cool. a 98/2 24oz Shetland the other end of the specturm.

Plus it depends on your weather. Around here nothing warm enough for the coldest week of the winter is light enough for the hottest part of the summer.

Year round doesn't work here. To be honest unless you live in an area with no seasons I'm not sure how anything will work well year round.
