I understand that this may not be the right place to ask this type of question, but I was itching to learn more about the company since I purchased my hat. I have known that Biltmore hat company is a quality hat company in the league with Stetson, but I am confused about the state of the brand itself. Despite its well-known recognition, the brand doesn't have a website nor does it have any information concerning its X-scale! Does anyone have experience with this brand? How much beaver would a 6x hat contain from this brand?

You can look here for a history - as you'll see it's gone through a number of changes over the years.
https://www.guelphhistoricalsociety...uelph/volume-47/biltmore-hats-a-brief-history. I believe it was sold to a larger company based in Texas: Dorfman Milano hats. Here is the Biltmore facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/biltmorehats/
here's the website: https://www.dorfmanmilano.com/brands/biltmore-hats

Now - the site says they're 'made in the USA' with imported materials. I see hats for $240 or less - no way that's quality beaver, made in the USA. They had a catalog and all I see there are wool hats - no beaver. It's tougher to find quality beaver hats today - think $500 minimum and $800-$1100 is standard for new hats. Stetson is probably the only large scale marketer left of beaver hats.

Custom 100% beaver dress hats are available from several artisan hatmakers. Gannon, Northwest, Hornskov, Hufvud, and Optimo are a few. The first 4 have fedoras for under $500. Optimo has grown and has several grades above 100% beaver and starts higher and goes way up with different qualities of felts.
