Best pattern/weave of wool to mask tailoring flaws?

Was wondering if there was any specific types of patterns, colors, or weaves of wool out there that are known to mask tailoring flaws well like depressions, wrinkles, dimples, etc.? I'm having a suit made in grey prince of wales plaid and it seems to do that fairly well because it's such a busy pattern. I've noticed overcoats made of thick, lightly woven wool (not worsted) seem to cover up flaws perfectly, though they're too hot of course for a suit.

I would recommend wearing a raincoat over your poorly tailored suits. Remember to ask the other people around you, "Stopped raining yet?" "Are they still predicting showers?" "Look at that sky--glad I brought my raincoat!" etc. so that they don't think you're eccentric.
