Most of my dress shirts are made by an Italian (Brescia) company named Burini. They are super soft and easy to iron. I purchased most of them in the summer, and usually wear them during the entire year, which may or may not warrant a citation by the fashion police...
Looking at the fabric with a magnifying glass, it appears to have a herringbone type weave.
What is the fabric type (e.g., poplin, pima, etc.) used by the high quality brands such as Borrelli, Kiton, Barba, Isaia, etc., and do they offer various types and weights? When I see shirts for sale in Style Forum, the type and weight is never mentioned, and should I purchase some, I want to be able to be sure of what I am getting.
Lastly, would anyone care to rate the best of the best dress shirts?
Thanks so much for your responses, guys!
