Best Burger Fast Food Burger Joint? In-n-Out vs. Five Guys

For all of you bi-coasters, I was having an argument with my friends about which fast food place (chain) has the best burgers. I'm from DC living in Cali now, and I honestly think that a Five Guys burger is way better than an In-n-Out burger.

Jack in the Box was the biggest disappointment ever. Carl's Jr., I would almost say, is better than In-n-Out; probably a smidgeum under them.

What do you think?

But I've heard the merits of both from friends on the West and East.

When are we going to get either of these in Dayton! I'm going to have to write in for Steak and Shake.

In n Out fries are a tragedy. They are undercooked and limp, by default. If I order them "well done" they come out overcooked and too crispy. So now I have to ask for them "slightly well done, but not completely" and hope for the best.

Jack in the Box is amazing when it's 2:30 in the morning after 6 beers.

Yeah In-n-Out fries are the worst. However, have you heard of their "secret" menu? You can order multiple patties, and tell them to fry the fries extra crispy they actually taste pretty good.

Yeah their secret menu is just different permutations/combinations of their regular ingredient items like: beef patty, spread, lettuce, cheese, fry, ketchup, grilled onion, et al.

There isn't a real 'secret' item on there like an in n out TACO or Chicken Nugget or something.

Their menu is so limited, that is why other places like jack and rally's are so popular because of their diverse menu options.
