You got it men; here is the RTW from yesterday; this is the base-model I bought. I would say the original RTW I tried on was at least this good. Trying this on yesterday made me remember why I went with Isaia. By the way, they treated me like an absolute king at the Isaia store; even though I explained I had purchased at Barney's... an absolute king; it was a great experience.

IMO that looks pretty damn good for RTW. I would take down the model and size info, and stick to Isaia RTW going forward. Don't see a need for MTM here.

Interesting color and I like it actually in the festive times. But yeah jubei said I don't see a need for MTM.

Thanks much, men. I am glad you like. Barney's had a sale at the time; no additional charge for MTM + $500 gift card (at my purchase point) and I was attracted to the idea of being able to choose my fabric. In the future I will just do RTW... at the very least a good learning experience. I will let you know how this MTM turns out. Happy holidays!

That is a damn good fit off the rack. I really do not see how MTM would improve that.

In all honesty, I think that MTM is often overrated - typically I find that people lose the forest for the trees (of course there are exceptions to every rule, but I digress). RTW stems from a pattern, and that pattern is designed to be proportionate to a particular size. If you are tweaking a pattern that was initially proportional to accommodate a person's idiosyncrasies, you will often end up with something that may fit well technically, but has major stylistic issues. I feel like MTM often just creates a garment that looks over-tailored.

I have similar mtm experience that is at best mediocre and will probably stick to RTW in the future. BTW, that RTW definitely is a 10 on you.

Have you tried made to order? You can actually choose your own fabric and often times it's priced the same as an RTW suit.
