Hi,

I saw in Paris, the new line "Fil D'Ariane" from Berluti...five new models.
It's of course PAP with a price of 980€...
A little to heavy for me...I prefer the "Demesure" or the "Percing" line...

And you ?

Thanks Georges. I like the left shoe but I'm not sure about the right. Looks like a new Warhol loafer variation.

I apologise Pkinsy, but you may not compare Amadeo Testoni and Berluti in term of style.. the photos are an evidence no ?

Georges:

I do not see the beauty. Can you tell me where it is? These shoes are trying too hard to be exotic. Unlike some of the earlier scarified Berluti models, these fail. The colors and patinas are boring, possibly in an attempt to make it easier to sell in the export market.

Off topic: And, you bastard, I think you have caused my artisan bottier to raise his prices!

I find all of these shoes to be extremely ugly. There are some stunning French shoes made, but Berluti is not generally the artisan responsible. I am not a fran of these.

Not for me either. I've tried to embrace the Berluti but find that I'm left contemplating why Dr. Frakenstein has turned from reanimating corpses to designing shoes in France with some harlet named Olga?

I echo the above sentiments. I see chunky stitching and a general S&M design aesthetic. No beauty to me.

Georges, your site no longer lets me view articles. I believe you now have to be registered? I have tried to do so but have failed. Please advise!
