I would be curious how much it could be improved on Blu-Ray. It's an older cartoon and always had that dark look. Might not be as big of an improvement as you would hope for.
I need to start renting these DVD's and re-watch the whole thing. It always amazes me that "On Leather Wings" was chosen for the first episode. Such an odd choice for a villain to launch it.

I remember one episode where batman is in the batwing, and someone made a gif blurring out the joystick making it look like he was jerking himself lol.
Another TAS memory was when Batman grinned and thumbs upped a kid who lived in the sewers, oh and one where Batman gave this rocket lady an orgasm by playing chicken between her rocket and a cliff face.
