Gotta start somewhere, mate! My first pair of big boy shoes was AE Daltons, and I still wear them regularly even though I've since seriously increased my shoe collection. Enjoy your new boots!

Dear gentlemen,

Excuse me for interrupting the conversation. I'm considering group MTO the 9 eyes balmoral boots that are same/ similar with EG shannon (i.e. punched captoe, leather+suede or all leather, double leather sole with toe tap, etc.) I've already gathered 4 or 5 orders. So if anyone's interested, please PM or reply me... I'm hoping we can get this case finished in 2 weeks.

(according to Pepe, the more orders we have, say 7 orders, then he can do more than one leather combinations)

Actually I'm very happy with my boots, they are comfortable and look good. I will definitely continue to buy more pairs but for now I'm enjoying what I have.

Some interesting new arrivals at Mr Porter, a Grenson x Foot the Coacher collaboration. The black and ivory suede's a bit fancy dress for me. The last two pairs are apparently inspired by a Ye Olde football boot design, but I'm not loving the strap in front of the toecap.

£475 a pop, so... yeah. Not sure what else to say about that. Might give it a shot come sale time.

Grenson make bal boots as part of their regular line-up and they charge about GBP 300 for them, so unless these are made to a much higher standard than their regular boots, this appears to be a royal rip-off... I'm with you on the strap over the vamp just in front of the laces - ruins the look for me, regardless of whether they might be imitating an old-fashioned pair of football boots.

Where do they sell them? After reading your post I went to Grenson website and could not find any balmorals there.
