Hey Guys,

I was very lucky to come into purchasing a second hand Tufty Sofa modular recently for nearly next to nothing. There isn't anything wrong with the structure or foams (bonus) but the covers have seen better days, in particular one of the pieces having sun damage/stain. Is it possible to have these covers dyed? as opposed to purchasing new covers?

Wanting to know if anyone has had a similar problem in general with dyeing sofa covers. Thanks!

Dying can help, but the results are often unreliable. It's better to buy furniture that doesn't need any major reparation.

I often purchase used furniture on Facebook Marketplace, and some of the pieces of furniture I get are not in the best condition. And yes, dying might help, especially if the covers are made of leather. You can buy a special spray and do it yourself or ask professionals to do that. The second option is preferable because they know how to do it right, and the dye will last longer this way.
Recently I got a tv recliner that needed dying, and I got it to a local specialist who did the job in a few hours. And I managed to sell the recliner for a few hundred dollars more.
