What would you like to know that I can reply to in under 150 words?

Caught the 86 up to Double Monk this afternoon and had a quick peruse. I was expecting to buy some moderately expensive, good quality shoes. Instead, I've lost my soul to these:

The website photos simply don't do them justice... the dark brown has a beautiful mottled effect. Unfortunately I've blown most of my allocated clothing budget so couldn't bring them home today, but next month they will be mine.

As an aside, where are your "go to" locations for pocket squares in Melbourne? I'm presenting at a conference in Sydney next week and want to step my outfit up a notch.

Stop telling us how magnificent Elite Suits are, Simon...SHOW us! And, when you do have something useful to say about your services, 99.9% of the time you don't need to write a thesis to get your meaning across.

And maybe, just maybe, contribute something else to the discussion rather than just trying to sell your products ALL the time. Thank you.

Got the notice that these badboys I ordered from Shanghai Tianzi Shoes has shipped and I should receive them next week. Full goodyear welt, dark brown calf leather for around $230. I'll post pics when I receive them.

Went to David Jones, shoe trees were ******* ****.

At this stage Amazon is the best option, at about $35 a pair.
Does anyone else have an online source? Something about Bexleys?

I find the ones from Amazon are probably the cheapest source assuming they don't get held up through customs like mine did. I bought two Allen Edmond cedar shoe trees for around $60 shipped and they've held up quite well in the year I had them.

Well done, sir. I've bought three pairs of shoes from them so far, and there'll be more to come. All mine were $221 for Goodyear welted.

Haha, thanks. I went with the boot option so it was slightly more expensive. I was in communications with Bonita for about a month prior to ordering. I'm frustrated they don't really have a good Balmoral boot available. The only one they have listed has those ugly elasticated sides.

I use these and have found them quite good. Should buy in bulk though as shipping costs have gone up by an exorbitant amount.
The more you buy the cheaper they become.. (I think 5 pairs are $38 each while 8 pairs become $24.. including shipping)

With respect to affiliates, cross pollination and keeping lots of pretty pics in the thread in place of text -

I've now uploaded the remainder of this seasons ties which and are as following. You can find the whole range HERE

3 x Florals, a beautiful conservative alternative to stripes

1400

3 x 9cm wide 7 folds

1400

And this interesting wool/silk 7 fold. It has a very dry hand, plenty of heft and a great texture to it

Looks a potentially interesting option, especially for things like casual chukkas. To get something handmade even with a glued leather sole for under $190 delivered would be pretty decent value if the quality is reasonable. And if the quality is good the welted shoes for $220 delivered, particularly to your own design, would be pretty amazing.

Gents,
We're at the back end of the week, hope everyone one has great weekend plans!
I'm once again exploiting the power that, that is AM! Any suggestions for a large frame tortoiseshell glasses, brands etc. Doesn't appear to many stockists of Oliver
Peoples around, and apart from Persol, l'm not familiar with others....
Cheers.

Oh BM - have you got any Herringbone - Herringbone grey jackets for sale? I should have pm'd but hey it's friday!

PS - Michael Sy my man, this weekend appreciate the shape and form of the lady, no checking out dub, triple or quadriple monks.

Have a look here http://www.moscot.com/vintage-sunglasses.html
