Hi all: New user, fairly frequent reader. Looking for advice for my upcoming wedding.

The following parts of my attire are set in stone (i.e., don't make me feel badly with negative comments concerning the following because I can't change anything):

Yes, this is a fairly casual wedding. Reception is in a barn, of sorts. Anyway, I'm looking for advice primarily on a sport coat, and secondarily on shoes. For what it's worth, my groomsmen are wearing a black chino sport coat. I imagine that my tie (bow tie or knit) will be determined by choice of jacket.

Budget for sport coat is up to $600.

If you are so inclined, budget for shoes is up to $300.

Again, I'm mostly interested in your suggestions for a sport coat.

Much appreciated.

Forgive the silly question but can't get a solid answer...Does "conservative business dress" stand for conservative business dress? If so, is that just the standard blue suit, white shirt, black shoes, etc?

It seems like a lot of the questions in this thread would be better answered in the Classic Menswear side of the forum. This is streetwear and denim. In general, questions about suits, bowties etc aren't really relevant to streetwear and denim.

oh shiiiitteee. youre right. i completely didnt even realize that. sorry all. I do note, however, that when you nagivate under "forums" to "classic menswear," this is the "ask a question, get an answer" option that pops up.

Does anyone have an idea which brands offer similar fedora shaped felt hats? (country style)

Purpose is to wear it with barbour jackets.

Thank you in advance!

Anyone have any suggestions for black leather low-tops? I like these Alexander Wang sneakers, but I'd rather not spend a lot of money on just a basic, everyday shoe. Something other than Converse or Vans would be nice.
