Who is an eligible SF baby? Maybe we could do a noble thing and give this couple a baby to adopt. Perhaps an SF member who still lives at home with their parents. Then it just might work. Any suggestions for who the SF gift adoption baby might be?

Not surprised at all. Dealing with DFPS and private agencies can be an outright nightmare at times, and I say this with a ton of respect for those who do their jobs. But if you ever wanted to see the definition of 'underfunded and understaffed', DFPS would be a good place to start.

oh, and FWIW, a while back we let it drop that we may consider adding another, and three different people approached us - who knew someone who was looking to adopt their baby out. It happens.
