Another Shoe Size Question (AE/Polo US=>C&J UK)

If I wear 9.5D US in A-E and English-made Polo shoes, would C&J 8.5E UK (supposedly 42.5 Euro) fit me? Or would it be too tight since 8.5 UK is generally 9 US)?

I think it depends on the lasts in question.

I wear a 9.5E in my 337 last Crockett and Jones. And a 10.5D in most of my Polo shoes and AE shoes (lasts 1, 3, 4, 7 and 8).

the pediwear/plal retail price is fair. although i have more than enough shoes such that i'm only buying when the sales are very low.

I wear a 8 1/2D in my AE's and a pair of english made Ralph Lauren's. I've gotten two pair of benchgrade CJ's in 7 1/2 E, and they fit fine.
