Hi everyone! Really learning a lot so far, but I still have a few questions i can't find the answers to....

I am interested in adding some color to my wardrobe, and I normally dress kind of urban...ish ? Normally a hoody or jacket, jeans, dunks, and a graphic t underneath. But it seems I am lacking color and its starting to bother me.

So I looked on American apparel site and I want to pick up a hoody and a few of their plain t's.

I'm tempted to go with the forest green hoody, or the mermaid green hoody.....so basically I'm asking if you guys can suggest some of the tshirt colors that will match well with those colors ?

thanks in advance

Depends on your style. Personally, if I chose the mermaid green (bright) I would chose a more mellow understated color t-shirt to wear with it. On the flip side I would chose an eye-catching brighter color to go with the forest green.

Some would chose two bright colors and look like a lite-brite. Others two dull colors and be just peachy. What is your style, it sounds like you want more color in your wardrobe so I am imaging something in that middle ground. Going straight to lemon and mermaid green might be a color-shock for your friends.

Seafoam, lime, mint, coral, eggplant, or possibly raspberry would be my choice to match with the forest color. The mermaid green I would pair with more understated beige, olive, army, earthtones.

Mermaid green looks to be almost a teal color, so to my understanding, burgundy is a great color pair with teal.

Looking at the colors for the t-shirts, they don't appear to have burgundy, so I guess the closest to it would be raspberry.

It may be too light (which would be more of a feminine color), but then again, mermaid green is also lighter than teal...

Of course, white works too.
