Medium.

Really I was just looking to burn the $40 I have in rewards on my account lol.
Haha fair enough. I believe that is what I have, mediums.

They are the "Large Drop-Front Shoe Box" SKU #10048827 from The Container Store. I'm 11EEE, smaller sizes might be able to go with their smaller boxes.

The bottom row are boot boxes, I use these from Amazon, which are the only half-decent ones I've found that are tall enough to accommodate boot trees: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B5XFY93/
Thank you!

The only controversial thing about the Freeport is the tag (which is a non-issue) and the weird colored lug soles which could be swapped for the trunk show anyhow.

I am a bit surprised at how well green shell did with our little group here considering how infrequently I feel like green pairs are talked about.
Because they are just worn.

I'm glad it's a non-issue for you, but it is one for me. I am philosophically and aesthetically opposed to gaudy labels intended to turn me into a billboard, Even if not really noticeable to others when worn, the fact that it's there at all still bothers me. Then again, I'm okay with closed lacing in an overall casual makeup paired with casual chinos or even jeans (I've even—albeit grudgingly—come around to liking Strand/Park sneakers). We each have our priorities.

Even less frequently talked about is the fact that AE green shell usually ships with dark green laces, a subtle shade easily overlooked but a great match to the shell. I've never seen laces this color anywhere else, including the old colored laces AE used to sell. I'm interested to see if my last-minute weaseled green Higgies will come with them.

I am judging you on the Park/Strand sneakers - they are abominable - though I don't have a problem with oxfords and nice chinos ("We don't talk about CHInoooooOOOoooooOOs").

But yes, I agree: I refuse, on principle, to wear a shoe that advertises a brand. It's frankly not gentlemanly. It also looks like I am buying some crappy pair of sneakers and/or some obnoxious brand-whoring fashion BS.

If I wanted to look like an asshole, I'd wear this:

Wonder if that Givenchy track suit, like many of our other items of clothing, has a tag somewhere on the inside that is hidden?

Re: Freeport - At one point is a non-visible tag a... non-issue? For that matter, should we start a boycott of JR soles since they come with branding stamped on the bottom of the sole?

Now, if the argument is about wearing Freeports neither with pants nor lacing them up, then I guess that is another perspective.

Wore snuff suede Neumoks today.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, in the Century City (West Los Angeles) mall this morning. The A-E store is on the other side of the Psycho Bunny store. The Psycho Bunny store has better graphics than the A-E store.

I was enroute to The Apple Store and The Container Store. For the "Belt-And-Shoes-Must-Match" squad, I am wearing a Trafalgar brown alligator belt with snuff suede Neumoks. It might be nice if Santa Claus brought me a pair of brown alligator Neumoks to match my brown alligator belt.

For fans of random store pictures in shoe threads, a double breasted jacket designed for Toulouse-Lautrec's cousin, Tootight-Lautrec, at the Suit Supply store in Century City.

For those who want still more random store pictures in shoe threads, a turtleneck thing with my initial on at the J. Crew Men's store in Century City.

Thanks for running the spreadsheet and posting these stats!

I'd like to bestow the Strand King stamp of approval on @aeshoes for buying four pairs of shell Strands, proving that he has immaculate style and outstanding taste in quality footwear.

Im honored to be mentioned by the Strand King himself, your collection from what Ive seen lurking on here is amazing. Excited for the shells to come in, cant wait to wear them.

On another note, I woke up in the middle of the night/morning with instant regret of not buying another pair of Fifth streets; Im glad others gave me advice to pull trigger on my other wants or else I'd be regretting not getting the strands too lol (shoenuts strand post above is probably haunting those who didnt pull the trigger on the green shells)

I'll push back on this mindset because, frankly, I think there should be pushback.

I personally, in no way, shape, or form think we should be judging whether or not someone is a "gentleman" based on the outfit they're wearing. Wearing tailored clothing or CM may make you think someone is a gentleman, but it sure as hell doesn't make someone a gentleman. Being a gentleman is in your actions and thoughts toward others. At least, that's how I was raised to judge someone.

By that same stroke, just because a person is wearing a heavily branded Givenchy tracksuit doesn't make them an asshole, either. Because I'm an old, out-of-touch man, I have no idea who that person is that's wearing the tracksuit you showed above. Maybe he's an asshole. I dunno. But I'm sure as hell not going to say he's an asshole just because he chooses to wear a tracksuit. You can't look like an asshole. You can only be an asshole.

I'm friends with a huge array of people from multi-multi-millionaires to people literally one bad day away from losing everything. Some of the biggest assholes I've met were tailored-clothing-wearing sociopath motherfuckers that I hope to never have to share the same airspace with again. Some of nicest, most gentlemanly people I've met were what most would call trailer park trash wearing sweatpants and ratty t-shirts who would literally give you that ratty t-shirt right off their back if you were standing there naked and needed it.

Long story short: what you wear is not who you are. Clothes don't make the man. The man makes the man.

*******. I'm out of here. I'm heading out for wings and beers with friends who are probably wearing clothes you'd think makes them look like assholes. But you're wrong. Like me, they're assholes no matter what they're wearing. All in their own, unique, asshole-y way.

I guess we all have our own perspective. If anyone has ever noticed, I wear trousers, button down shirts, and a jacket with tie for most of my weekend errands. I sometimes put on a suit if I have to go to Walmart, btw, you would have to pull me kicking and screaming into Walmart. Why???? Cause my wife proved to me many years ago that it keeps me out of trouble.
