Congrats on a stunning marbled black HM!!! These photos make them look subtle, but I bet the variation is more impressive in person!
Happy Tuesday,
It has been unusually warm in Salt Lake this year for a January. Like, no snow and mid 40's in the valleys. Like, we could have @AEfaninTampa or one of the many TX weasels to visit warm. I have a trip to ATV in Moab planned the first week of March, I hope this weather holds.
Breaking in a new pair today. I once heard there was a man who didn't like chili shell. I was relieved to find out it was not true.

Maiden voyage of these beautiful brown suede Freeports today. Paired with Rogue Territory Tinted Weft 12.5oz Stantons that I really should get hemmed sooner than later.

They will age beautifully! I'm debating sunfading my pair of strands, but decided wearing them will be much more fun! Still have yet to take them out for their maiden voyage. Not really actually. That's about what they look like in person as well. I wish so much of the cool marbling wasn't on the shaft which you'll never see.
The old OTC ones were rocking. I wish they offered more than black, navy, and charcoal when I bought them. I would have bought many more.So I splurged a bit for Merino Wool AE socks. Purchased around 20 pairs, and selected the ones only with 70% wool. Anyone tried these and how do they compare to other brands?
I never thought I would spend on socks like this. I've always used the Kirkland dress socks lol.
Hey, we got a pair and that sole is the BOMB.....the colder it gets, the grippier the sole. I have no idea how it does it, but F*me it's awesome.Just out of curiousity, who else besides myself and @audog own a pair of the Alpine cap toed winter boots with the arctic sole?
I have a pair, and don't find the soles to be anything special on ice. Better than Dainite, I guess, but I feel more secure on Vibram commandos on icy streets and sidewalks. But I still like the boots, and wear them about once a week in the winter.Just out of curiousity, who else besides myself and @audog own a pair of the Alpine cap toed winter boots with the arctic sole?
I felt the same with my PA. Some work, and I got them where they needed to be. FWIW, I used AE brand Burgundy cream and wax.
