Question.
I received these Cronwallis today and they are really dinged up.
Big scratch and ding on toe apron.
Other shoe the leather is very cracked.
Of course they have no more in my size so no recourse there.
Thoughts from others experience?
Thanks

This looks good to me. I have received several AE 1st that make these look perfect.
A *** splash of cream or polish will cure these minor issues.

My 3 cents
1-they are being discontinued
2-if you bought them recently, you got a helluva price w big discount
3-the dings are small potatoes
The Cornwallis is a great shoe. Hate to see it dc'd. Get some VSC on those things and enjoy them!

So it looks like these were tried-on (thus the creasing on the one shoe), so these were "in-store" shoes, possibly a display model. That said, a little touch-up polish will address there very minor scuffing, the welt ding can be touched up, and leather shoes crease so that's not really a big deal (though these definitely need a hit of conditioner, IMHO - they look dry). If I got these at recent sale prices, I'd be plenty happy; at MSRP, I'd probably be less pleased because these were clearly handled before.

What size are these, and what did you pay? (If they're my size, I'd be half inclined to buy'em off you at sale prices.)

While I agree with you, I'm somewhat perturbed by your descriptive phrasing.

Uhhh, I can't help but ask, the hand, on the left, is yours, too? Thanks. ?
Nope. That’d be the wife’s hand, getting ready to do that female drapey pose thing, thus ruining the line of my suit jacket.

Then she’ll have to listen to me explain, on the ride home, how a canvas structured pagoda shoulder is not something you can get just any tailor to make nowadays, so she shouldn’t be getting all handsy with my suit. Which of course defeats the purpose of having such a suit, which is so your wife will want to get all handsy with your suit.

Anyway, I got some serious 1st world problems, so I’m just gonna go calm down and listen to some classic Whitney, or maybe some Phil Collins.

You probably won’t like the break that this shoe will have. Not acceptable for that style. I would be ok if it were a Leeds that I could wear with jeans. But this style is too much of a dress shoe for that.
