From my viewpoint, you get more points for the quote than the shoes and the plan to wear them.

John Hughes clearly knew way back in the 80s that we would be using zoom. An even greater visionary and genius than we knew

Howe Street for taking the MIL for her infusion treatment. I wonder if they could put caffeine in an IV bag for me?

I grew up in a very John Hughes-esque suburb. My high school was pretty close to the real world equivalent of Shermer High. And I went to school in the same era, so his movies all hit pretty close to home for me.

Happy to say these did not disappoint! Tuesday with a flash of panache at work and getting my chompers cleaned at the dentist.

I might trip because I keep staring at my feet!

wild, I grew up in the town that you could say it’s based on...though a few years behind you.

Have any of you had problems receiving orders made back at the beginning of December? I ordered a pair of Higgins Mills on December 4 and was told at the time to expect a 3-5 week delay. Called yesterday and was told they were "looking into it." Still nothing. It's been almost 6 weeks now and nothing. I own about 12 pairs of AE shoes and I have never had this problem. Just trying to get a gauge on what I should do to pursue this.

Thanks in advance.

Considering that 3-5 week lead time doesn't take into account the two holidays we just passed, I don't think you're in Danger to the Manifold levels of delay. That said, you could try reaching out to @ae_ashley at the Charleston Shoe Bank to see if she can get you any more info.

Happy Tuesday friends,

Thanks to @AEfaninTampa for showing me that I still have room to grow. I cannot make a full month of shell, so I have work to do. Partially shoe acquisition and mostly spousal shoe concealment. I need to start meeting FedEx in the middle of the night in abandoned commercial parking lots, complete with the flashing headlights thing....

An old friend today, Winnetka. Not a popular model, and inspired by an unpopular model around here. Think Wilbert loafer. Super comfy and I enjoy them.

Interesting, since I was born and raised in the town next door to where it's based on from the early 70s until now. Depending on when you lived there, we might very well know some common people. Although, maybe not, considering I attended high school out of state.

Off topic but since this is the thread that got me started buying Gustin denim: Does anyone have experience with these guys? Seems like a really good deal

$15 per pair to get chain stitch hemming done and $18 round trip shipping for unlimited pairs of jeans
