If it’s a really big want, color can be changed with a little dye.Can we please get better colors for the Liverpool.
I guess most people don't want to do that to a $500 shoe out of the box.If it’s a really big want, color can be changed with a little dye.
What colors? Black is classic, walnut gets a lot of notice from others in my case. (It's definitely more complimented than may of my shoes). I love my choco suede, but I think a lot of people get put off by the nap's center stripe that tends to occur on the Chelsea pattern in suede. Black (not waxed or burnished please) suede would be *****'n, even if @Neo1 thinks it's a girl boot in that combo. I'm trying to imagine what I would really want beyond those, honestly. Can we please get better colors for the Liverpool.
I got the brown suede Liverpool. The stripe was pretty bad, and I’m pretty sure that’s why they were seconds. I removed the stripe with about 10 minutes of brushing on each boot using a brass-bristled suede brush. I’m wondering if I should re-wax them now.I guess most people don't want to do that to a $500 shoe out of the box.
But, yeah, I agree.

It took me over a year of waiting before I found an old model dark brown (not cigar or mahogany) PA on sale at shoebank. They must have found it buried in a warehouse somewhere because they only had one of them. $99 + 20% off was worth the wait. But they should have. In dark brown. The perfect stable mate to the Hopkinson for the suit wearing crowd. It would have been an instabuy for me.
The Frosty boots look great. Those were a nice surprise addition to the lineup.Blue Holiday Hamilton (Frosty Ave) is 10% extra off today
Says partially lined...maybe just the shaft isn't lined? I agree; the Santa Moks being unlined is still odd temp wise. The Frosty boots look great. Those were a nice surprise addition to the lineup.
I’m a little surprised that the Frosty and Claus boots are unlined, since they’re based on the Hamilton. I’ve got the unlined Cronmok boots, and I definitely notice that they are not as warm.
Alcohol and a toothbrush. Maybe try applying clear polish over threads first, but I would avoid adding any blue polish. These aren't really meant to be polished, just like the CXL versions (JBM). Just let the color age as they get scuffed and brushed; there won't really be factory finish to stitching transfer, or they would never do contrast stitching on anything. My questions is how would you maintain the white stitching on the frosty boot? I would think any conditioner would cause the blue to bleed when applied and brushed...
In my experience, the “partially lined” portion is at the rear of the shoe — the heel area up.Says partially lined...maybe just the shaft isn't lined? I agree; the Santa Moks being unlined is still odd temp wise.

Walnut makes me want to puke. Mahogany is the ticket.I guess most people don't want to do that to a $500 shoe out of the box.

It’s a concern maybe. I’d 100% avoid renovateur, as it causes a lot of color transfer in my experience.
