At that price, seems an essential purchase to me....
Problem is my very traditional marriage. I know a lot of marriages have my money, her money, and our money. My situation is that I make the money and she takes the money. She left last week for Mexico and took control of the slush fund. Lots of family down there is out of work and food prices are rising fast. Most of her day is spent getting food for the nephews and nieces who are basically out. Stimulus in Mexico is basically call your family in the US. So there is no spending till the pandemic is over.

How about using that payment plan that splits it into four payments?
It would only be about $35-$40.

Shoes are not my priority right now but shoeshinning is one of the few things I can do in my tiny appartment, gives me a sense of achivement and keeps my brain busy. So "Shoeshine as Therapy" series while quarantine lasts.

I hope that all the fellow members are safe and healthy.

Brand: Allen Edmonds
Model: Park Avenue
Supplier: Allen Edmonds in Madison Ave NYC
Last: 65
Colour: Burgundy
Note: A souvenir from a trip to New York, I call them "functional souvenirs". I like very much the Park Avenue althought I should have sized up half. The 360 welt and the materials are great. This oxford is a very very good option if you live in USA. I use black wax in order to darken them a tad, next time I will try with blue wax.

Well, I am back from my month long adventure in Europe. Took a heck of a twist in the end nearly getting stuck there because of this pandemic, but I made it out. Self-quarantined for 2 weeks now, working from home, not leaving home, etc.

I look forward to catching up in this thread and checking out how all your TS suedes came out. My were shipped while I was gone, haven't seen them yet.

In the meantime, these Carlos Santos boots needed a bit of cleaning/brushing from my trip and a new pair of laces. When I took the old laces out I noticed how the brass on the eyelets had worn a bit from the laces so it got me thinking that I should maybe polish the eyelets completely to show off the brass.

A little Cape Cod et voila. I like how they look. Unfortunately the speed hooks are not brass so they will remain as is, but it still looks good.

The good buys are never in my size :(

same. I’m also not a fan of how AE got rid of the clearance section of the site.

very inconvenient for bottom feeders like me, which is of course the point, but now I shop less frequently because I dont like having to sort through all the regular sale items

I have been looking at this but my stop all non-essential purchases is getting in the way of buying.

This is a steal now.
I just bought these. Maybe I’ll wear them tomorrow and put up a shot to inspire you to do the same ?

I'm curious if "new to sale" is the new "clearance." If that makes one a bottom feeder, then I am one too.

I filter by size and sort by price ascending so I find what I am looking for. My quibble and histrionic lament is that the new presentation inflates total results so you can no longer tell instantly how many clearance items there are in your size

first world pandemic problems

An employee called in today with car problems, since he owns a Toyota, we have put his car in for a 14 day quarantine for Corolla virus. Is it getting that weird?
