Bourbon Higgins Mills from the trunk show. These are so incredibly comfortable. And there is some burnishing on the toe but I plan to brush it and hope for better patina

are these from the first or most recent trunk show? Also did you get a shipping notification or did they just show up. I am waiting for the same boot and every time the dog barks I am looking for the FedEx truck.

Just wondering if anyone has seen the new Patton boot in real life. On the website it looks very dark--more black than gray. Is it really dark (almost black)? Also, is it not a chukka? When I click the "chukka" link on the AE webpage the Patton is not listed with the other chukkas. Thank you.

These are fresh out of the box from the most recent trunk show. Weirdly enough, I got a shipping notice from FedEx, but nothing from AE. I generally would get 2 emails when I bought something in store - the FedEx notice and then the AE Shipping information.

Sorry to hear about the delay, hopefully it arrives shortly! It is truly a beautiful boot.

That's my go to lacing pattern, but I have a narrower gap and switch to AE round laces.

LOVE this site. This was how I learned how to actually lace a dress shoe with the Straight European method.

Yeah, I wanted to start off comfortable and then over time I'm sure the gap will tighten up just a smidge.

Celebrating Friday by meeting with auditors. Jeans with a sportcoat is dressy where I work (I hear those groans...no I don't own any dress sneakers). MacNeils got the call today.

Thanks to @smfdoc for some shoe care coaching, I'm making progress. My wife doesn't save old hose and Walgreens didn't have my size, so I'm making do with what I stole from the laundry. I blamed the dryer.
