It all depends on how it is constructed and how it fits you. Expensive doesn't mean anything without fit and construction.

Those do look like they are a suit broken up rather than separates, so if the colors seem to match, i'm sure you can wear it as one.

I'm always amused by Gilt selling "Blazers" where even their promotional pictures show the jacket being worn as part of a suit.

A number of designer brands sell their jackets and pants separately. If you go to their boutiques, you will see separate price tags on both items. This is a okay practice in my opinion since it allows for mixing and matching of sizes.
