All professional sports have profound flaws. Rugby is played in bad faith. Look at all the penalties: you can't tell me a professional rugby union player doesn't know what constitutes a penalty. The laws aren't complicated. At the breakdown players are violating the rules with the expectation they'll get away with a few infringements, and those infringements missed by the referee can mean the difference between winning and losing. Paradoxically, the penalties given away because of this bad faith can also lose you the game. Take McCaw and Pocock - they're among the best players around, but they bend the rules like crazy.

From todays SMH " Even the Kiwi punters are backing the Wallabies. NZ TAB rugby bookmaker Simon Thomas said 10 times more more cash was going on Australia. " We've hardly seen a bean on NZ , we don't have a good record at the world cup do we? Its like something always happens and I guess people think we are chokers".

I like those odds.

A lot of injuries everywhere...
Coulb be a Welsh victory at the end...:embar:

For some reason I find this incredibly depressing.

Oh, shut it, Ed. I just hope we can make it past the French with Hook at outside half.

He is going to try to get through the 10 channel or play some trick..

The match can go both ways...

We will play a forward game and you will try to impose an open game..

Don't be too sure about that...

Don't be too sure about what? He's saying he hopes Wales win and he can't stand the French? You think in 23 hours he's going to hope Wales lose and loves the French?

I doubt it... no one does

Wales might lose ..

That's the bit he can't be sure about...

I don't hate Wales and there is no animosity between Welsh supporters and French ones...

They hate the English far more than us , believe me..

What a ******* crock of ****, after all the hype the stupid fecking Irish referee derailed the game. He could have yellow carded the Welsh git, and yes no doubt he would have sat out the final if they made it but really.

I want my money back after having to wade through that shite, northern hemisphere rugby at its worst.

The French team really did not deserve to win. I feel for the Welsh. It's the second time they lose a match on a dubious referee call.
