Good call on the brick sole, I think that would have definately stepped this one up a notch.

The brick red would look to garish against the light tan suede. The whole point of the brick red is to be subtly different, I don't think these are supposed to look like bucs. I think a commando sole would look killer on these.

I hate that sole on the regular RW boots but I especially hate it those. I like the uppers ok though, put it on a lightly lugged black or brown sole and you would have a cool boot (at least at 1/3 that price).
